I too have been seeking information about the father of a James C. Cameron. But my James
was born in Giles County, Tennessee in 1826. I'm fairly certain that his father was a
Daniel Cameron b. in Virginia sometime between 1780-1790. I was wondering if you had ever
gotten any info on him as a result of your search. Thanks very much. Mary Conley My

I was looking online and saw you had requested information on James
C. Cameron. I just started my search at the first of the year but do
have James's father as Joseph Cameron born in 1795 but don't know
where. I think it may be Ireland. That is if any of my information is
correct due to the census.
I am trying to locate information on my grandmother born in 1884 in
Fairfield, SC whose parents were John and Margaret Cameron. John was
the son of James and Esther Cameron and James son of Joseph. My
grandmothers name was Doshie Ann Cameron but she is in none of the
census's except when she moved to Texas in 1900 with her brother
Robert who is listed in the previous census. Her obiturary says she
was orphaned at age 7 but had 7 brothers and sisters. If you have any
information or know any details that I may not have I would greatly
appreciate it.
