Hello Cristy:
Other than my direct line which came to Canada, I am zeroing in on the Lochiels from
Lochaber.
I don't know back you have gone, But i would say (from where I sit), that you descend
from the 17th Chief, Sir Ewen. He m #2 Isobel Maclean and the name Allen surfaced. Some
of the names you mention are prevalent in the Lochiels. Sir Ewen owned property in the
1600's on the Eastern Coast of the then colonies and many other events led to
colonization there of Camerons. I have just a generealization at this time, because i am
focused on another period in time.
Have you looked at the Cameron-Clan DNA results? There are at least 9
participanmts with the same ist line of gene markers. There is one entry from N.
Carolina. I identify with # 29230 from Canada , the entry made by a Chicago descendant . I
identify with the Charles Cameron and am now trying to verify the earliest name there. It
was originally presumed to be James.
Good luck. Delphine
