Subject : RE: Re: [CAMERON] migration in Carolina
I think some of the Scottish Highlander came in 1767 and the land on the
cape fear river was getting scarce; Also the counties were made as more
families moved in.
Let me look at the book and see what they say about Rowen Co.

This might be slightly off the subject
But, you mentioned books on Cameron's and I am one who's clan
is Dec of John and/or Absalom of Rowan Nc.
They 1st appear in census in Rowan in 1790 census
but, there are land grants several yrs earlier in Rowan to Absalom.
Now my questions are how they arrived that far inland NC
and,if they are related to the Harnett/Cumberland Camerons.
I am hoping you will research your books for Camerons with connections
between Harnett/Cumberland and Rowan.
Thank You in advance
Thom C
