Hi Thom,
My Alexander was born in 1772 and married Nancy McArthur in 1804 in
Cumberland CO NC.
By 1850 he was in Madison CO Fl with his sons William James and John B. I
know Alexander had more children but I haven't found them as of yet. The
CAMERONS in Tattnall CO GA in 1840 may be my branch.
There was an Elizabeth CAMERON who married a John BOWEN and I have been
told she was a daughter of Alexander. What do you have on the Alexander in
your branch? Does anyone know anything about the CAMERONS in Tattnall CO GA?
There was a Allen there also.
Thanks

Hi,
I am trying to find links for my Cameron family. My William Cameron was born in 1776
somewhere in South Carolina, he married Annis (possibly Hawthorn) about 1797 somewhere in
Georgia. While in Georgia they had 6 of their 7 children born there. So they were in
Georgia until about 1818 when they moved to Shelby then to Talladega County, Alabama.
William died in 1854 in Alabama.
I am in hopes someone out there can give me a few tips as to where to begin looking for
William Cameron in Georgia and earlier in South Carolina.
Thanks
Mike
