was born 1 November 1812 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH and died 13 July 1889 Centerpoint, Clay County, IN. She was the daughter of John Cunningham and Nancy Crump. Cannot ascertain parentage of Lewis as there were several Cameron families in Hamilton County, Oh at the time of his birth. Any help would be appreciated. Lewis and Sarah had the following children:

hi donna
i checked my information about donald cameron/flora mctavish & family - and no isabella was mentioned. were your cameron ancestors from the kilmonivaig area? the fort william census has some useful information - but there are a LOT of camerons so it would be helpful if you know which area they lived before looking. here's the link: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ked1/ftwillcen.html
also, the online IGI has more entries than the last time i checked - so you may find some leads there.
HTH!

hi donna
its been a while since your post, but yesterday i found some information about una cameron. you enquired if una's parents could be flora mctavish & donald cameron. well it turns out that they are but, i think that your una cameron may be my una cameron's grand-daughter.
according to the IGI records she was born in 1847 in kilmonivaig, inverness, SCT. i also have information about when donald & flora were married & their other children. just let me know if you'd like more info.
what is your connection to the family?
regards
catherine

Hi. I believe you are missing one of the children. When I was researching my husband's family I requested Bertha Lucile Pugh's death certificate and instead of getting the mother I received the daughter of the exact same name instead. Bertha Lucile Cameron daughter of Thomas Cameron of England and Bertha Lucile Pugh of Illinois was born August 30, 1915 in IL. Place of burial is Viola, IL. Clara Cameron is who my husband descends from.

I cannot be sure he was bn 1827, but he was christened 30 December 1827 as you probably know. I am not related.
The Scottish Church Records CD, and the IGI and IGI Addendum, plus Ancestral File show no other issue from that couple. Nor could I find a marriage.
British Isles Vital Records Index also drew a blank.
As you want to know Helen's parentage, get her death entry. If she d. in Scotland after 1855 then the names of her parents incl. mothers' maiden surnames should have been recorded. Ditto for the ancestry of Thomas her husband.
CAMERON RESEARCH is quick and affordable.
You can do these things cheaper at any Family History Centre yourself, if you are industrious and very patient!

There are, and have been, thousands of males named John Cameron in this world My John Cameron is from Scotland. Where is yours from?
I am looking for my great grandfather, Tom Cameron's family after 1870.
Here is what I have:
1870 Census, Mount Hebron, Greene Co., AL, p. 775
108/112
Lee Cameron, age 41, B, M, b. AL, laborer on farm, cannot read or write
Charity Cameron, age 27, B, F, b. AL, laborer on farm, cannot read or
write
Ebenezer Cameron, age 6, B, M, b. AL
John Cameron, age 4, B, M, b. AL
Tom Cameron, age 2, B, M, b. AL
Can someone help me find them in latter Census? I cant find anything on
them. It is possible that Lee (father) could have died off and Charity
(mother) could have remarried, right? She was younger than her spouse,
but I have found my great Grandpa Tom Cameron in 1900 as Cannrow only. I
found him (Tom) over in Choctaw County, AL where my line is currently at.
Can someone really help me
Most Appreciative,
Karen Rogers

Hi Thom!
Thanks for the information. I have so little information on who I am looking for. Have you ever come across any info on a Leslie Allen Cameron who at one point lived in Boone,Iowa? Thanks for your help!

Hi. I'm still trying to find the parents of Helen Stark, (my great great great grandmother, born probably around 1802) who along with Thomas Cameron had at least one son, my great great grandfather, Thomas Cameron, born 1827 in Inchture, Scotland. Can anyone give me some more suggestions as to how I can find her parents (and the parents of ggg gf Thomas)? I have looked at the IGI and Scotlandspeople and can't find a death or wedding certificate and of course their birth certificates. I can't think of any other places to try and find them. And I don't even know if they were married (one of my other lines, Margaret Duncan and William Cruikshank, were not married when they had Lewis Cruikshank, so I would think it's possible Helen Stark and Thomas Cameron might also not be married.
