Do you know who he was named after? I would suspect Sir Ewen, the greatest of the Cameron war lords who lived near Inverness. Maybe you are related. This would be well worth the digging. He was probably the last romantic hero of Europe. He had very unusual eyes for a Scot. Our family disrespectfully calls them Chink-eyes. One of my son's and I have his eyes. After me, the last time the eyes "showed up" was in the early 1800s my gg-grandmother and one of her cousens had the eyes. If you have seen "Chink - eyes" in any generation of your family please let me know. I would love to compare notes.

Have you tried to use the official database for that sort of stuff. I have found it pretty good for 1800-1900 info. It is a pay-for-view but well worth it. Scot Origins. It ought to only cost you about $10 in Pounds.

I am seeking information about Susan Cameron born about 1784 in Little Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland.
She married John Campbell on 6 Dec 1809 in Little Dunkeld and had five children: James (1810), Margaret (1812), John (1814), Donald (1816) and Euphan (1820).
The 1851 Census of Little Dunkeld shows her at Mickellogge (?) - widow, 67 years old, farming 2 acres. Her son Donald is also living with her - 33 years old, unmarried, tailor.
Does she link with anyone's Cameron families?
Can someone please help me figure out a relationship for my dtr-in-law
person one's ggg-gf and person two's g-gf are brothers how are person
one and two related
Thank you
Margaret
Hello,
I have been working with another family line recently. That group has been
doing
a lot of DNA. It is just another rootsweb family message center like this
one.
This was my husbands family name. He and his 2nd cousin (also a male),
sent for an application thru' the family tree DNA program. We found an exact
match
with one of the others we had been talking with all this time. Others did
also.
This is not guaranteed to get back further but it is a shot.
We had all come to a brick wall, as so many of us do, eventually. As I did
with the Camerons....a long time ago.
Has this Cameron message board done this too? If so, how and where would
I find the records and participate also? If not, maybe we should try it.

I am looking for anything I can find about Fred/Fredrick Cameron thet married
a Hazel Jones they are one the 1920 census for Greeley, Co. and both show
Mich. as their birth place. I understand he was with the railroad!
Does this ring a bell for any of you Camerons?
Regards,

I am interested in your MARGARET BROWN
CAMERON. I assume the 1975 was a typo
and her birth date was in 1875??
Anyway: I am trying to connect with
other Camerons through my Grandmother's
sister: FLORENCE BROWN who married a
RALPH CAMERON. I believe they married
in 1920 in or near Joplin, Missouri.
Florence Brown was born about 1879.
Do you know where your Margaret Brown
lived when she died.
JoAn in Oregon

I notice this is a very active list, so I am hoping I can get some
connections or leads

I found a distant cousin from all this and I believe my great great grandparents would have been John and Anne. My great grandfather Alexander and his brother John each married sisters named Jessie and Margaret Hughs. Good luck in your search too.

My Alexander Cameron was born in 1812 in Canada and had a farm in Mossley Canada. His father was John and his mother was Ann according to an old bible and they were from Scotland. THis is all I have been able to find out. I dont know if Alexander had any siblings. His children were Henry, Daniel, Mary, Lizzie, John, Phoebe, Wellington, Sarah, Emma, William, Alexander, Fanny and an unknown baby. Maybe Alexander had a brother who was the father of your John??These Camerons in Canada are a real puzzle. BetteJo.
