I'm doing some work on this line and I hit a wall. I'm pretty much stuck and can't find anything else out on this couple. Albert Cameron (son's death record lists him as Robert Cameron) was b. 17 Apr 1835 and d. 30 Mar 1912 he married Elizabeth Skidmore b. 12 Mar 1847 - d. 6 May 1932 around 1868/69. Census records list Albert Cameron being born in North Carolina, and Elizabeth being born in Arkansas. I don't know where they were married. The obit for Albert said he was a stage driver. Any help would be appriciated, even places I might look for further clues. I'm getting pretty desperate! :) Thanks in advance!
Hi John,
Did any of your CAMERON's migrate to Tennessee, probably 1800-1818 ? My
brick wall is James M. CAMERON b. 1819 in Tennessee. He was my
gggrandfather. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Sandra Field

Thank you for your offer. I might take you up on it. I am looking for information in McHenry County and just joined the Historical Society recently. I have enjoyed their quarterly and look forward to the next one. I have worked on the Clute line a bit and it seems to die off after the third generation and the names I quoted seem to be the next leads. I think I may have to look for birth certificates of these ladies and death certificates and maybe they may hold more clues. May I ask for your email directly and check out what might be workable with your expertise or assess to your area? Thank you Chris

I have some old photographs of Grace and her daughter, as well as other members of Grace's extended family. I would like to send them to family members who would appreciate having them. I am not researching this family.
I am trying to find Sarah's parents:
She married Joseph Whitfield Hallford of Missouri 1859 in Illinois
She had 5 kids
Died in Missouri in 1927
Any information would be helpful... All of the information I have was
published in the Hallford Family history and I am unclear of the accuracy of
the data.
Thanks in Advance

Zou,
Your post made me realize that I haven't mentioned on the Cameron-L that
Moncton residents found my James Grant Cameron (1812-1891) He WAS born
and lived in New Glasgow, NS, but for the last 17 yrs. of his life he
was paralyzed. His funeral was at daughter (a twin)Christiana Cameron m.
Lt. Col. McLelland Moore's home and he is in fact buried there. My
family stories proved to be true. Don't disregard the family 'heresay'
it may become your future FACTS!!!
Also, we have just found that Jame's father's middle name was Donald
*IAN* Cameron, graduate of Aberdeen U.
Inch by Inch.
If anyone knows a Donald *IAN* please email me as I leave in AM for
NB/NScotia to explore the ancestor roots!

Hi. I have a John Cameron born between 1800 and 1810 in North Carolina. Information obtained from Dale Co., AL 1840 census. He married a Catharine Wilkinson/Wilkerson around 1830 in Alabama. He died before the 1850 census. His wife is found in 1850 in Santa Rosa Co., Florida. He is said to be buried in Coon Hill Cem., Santa Rosa Co., FL. I do not believe hhis grave is marked though. His children's names are Daniel, Margaret, Mary Ann, Martha, Archibald, John, and Catharine. Daniel died in the Civil War and most of the children and Catharine moved to Lamar Co., TX and then to Sevier Co., AR. Does any of this sound familiar? Please help!
Thanks,

I'm not really any help on Harriet, but I do live in McHenry County and am willing to answer questions you might have. Marengo is spelled differently than the way you spelled it, so you will be frustrated spelling it otherwise. And it is in Marengo Township. The McHenry Co. Historical Society is in Union, IL and can tell you how to contact the Genealogical Society. rl
