Hi: Yes, I'm looking for a Daniel Cameron, b. c 1790 in NC. He was in
Rutherford County, TN in 1807. Father was probably either John or Daniel. I
know many, many families to whom he doesn't belong. That is; John Merchant
Cameron, John Beaver Creek Cameron, and Hill Daniel Cameron to name just
three. His wife may have been a Campbell. I have quite a bit of information
on the various Daniel Camerons in North Carolina in the late 1700's and would
be glad to give you any info I can. Mary Conley

I am researching the Ewen Cameron that came to Nova Scotia from Scotland. I am looking for any information including descendants.
Background - I started this research from a letter written by Duncan Cameron to a Cousin in Scotland.

Big Island Merigomish
January 31st. 1883
Dear Cousin,
Yours of December 27th Came to hand sometime ago. I now write to let you know that my father died four years ago on the 8th June past. The rest of our family are well at present with the exception of my mother who is frail. She is very old being almost 90 years of age. The most of our folks are settled at great distances from here, there is one of my sisters and my brother living on old farm. Three of my sisters are living in Prince Edward Island being married there and their families pretty much grown up, my oldest sister is living in Cumberland County about sixty miles from here, her family all grown up and two more of my sisters are married in this neighbourhood. My elder brother has been dead for a great length of time and his family are all abroad with the exception of one son who is at home. So by this you will understand that people in this country are difficult to travel as well as those in Scotland. I have been married nearly fifteen years and have got a fa!
mily of three sons & three daughters. Crops with us have been but very middling. Last Summer was unusually wet and potato blight has been pretty scary in this place, the winter is very cold so far this winter but you folks in Scotland have no idea of the Severity of a Nova Scotia winter. I can not think of any news that would prove of much interest to you at the present time but if you answer this and wish to open up a correspondence as I trust you will, I can give you any information you wish about this country ––– With kindest love to you & yours, I remain Your Cousin,
Duncan Cameron
P.S. When you write you will please address

The system used here is a modified Henry System, which is the same except that letters of the alphabet are used instead of numbers. Also, each succeeding generation is indented. This ensures that you can quickly and easily tell how every individual is related to another individual just by looking at their reference letters. Example of the modified Henry System used in this and the following charts.
A CARMICHAEL, Donald - 1st Generation
AB CARMICHAEL, Patrick 'Peter' - 2nd Generation, 2nd Child
ABF CARMICHAEL, Patrick 'Peter' - 3rd Generation, 6th Child
ABFE CARMICHAEL, Mary - 4th Generation, 5th Child
