Ellen, was it Margaret Anderson Cameron you were asking about? If so then I advise, I checked but found no entry in either:
CAMERON GENEALOGIES 3rd ed [published by CCNSW]
AUSTRALASIAN COMPUTER INDEX [a mighty set of Fiche]
I did see a Margaret A. Cameron indexed but it could be arduous to pursue her data, without further info such as her spouse, parents or children names.

Looking for information on Allan Cameron who married Eliza Schut in
Quebec Province about 1810. I have Eliza's parents but I need info on
Allan's parents. Father was supposedly Donald Malcolm Cameron born in
Inverness, Scotland, arrived Halifax, N.V. with military regiment about
1800. Allan possibly born in N.Y.

Dear Margaret and Alistair
Thank you for your input. Unfortunately I have no other information to date.
I was born in Scotland Helen Williamson Cameron to a Margaret Anderson
Cameron. I just heard that she has remarried for the second time (if in fact
it proves to be her) and am just awaiting more information.
If I get the information I am seeking - who knows?
Thanks again.

Are any of their descendents some of the BASS-CAMERON folks who later went

head. Thanks Zou Feagin zfeagin(a)aol.com
Hi Ellen,
Good to hear from you. No, unfortunately I am not the Margaret Cameron you are seeking (yes there are a lot of us!!) but will keep my eyes open for anything I may come across. Do you have any more information? Most of my information is on the Australian born Camerons from my own line but there are Camerons all over the place. Good luck,
Margaret
Not much of anything.. this was for Mary Sue Perkins... she was having
trouble unsubscribing and the was just a test to see we I had her undone.
Are you around those fires? I just heard from a friend of mine and she
is in the city but is the emergency coordinator for St Vincent de Paul and
is quite busy right now..... she said this morning that there have been 205
homes lost. How sad....

My brick wall is a Judith Cameron married a David McKay in Tenn. Cocke
county. They had 11 children all born in Tenn. The records the family
has indicate that she was born on June 15, 1835, but have no idea who her
parents are or any background on her. She died we think around 1878 in Tenn.
Around 1880 the family moved to Oregon. Any info or help or clues would be
appreciated. Pat
Dean,
Just thought you might like to know my ISP was sending me double posting for a few of my lists that I was subscribed to for a few days. This happened about 3 months ago. It also included one of the lists that I was the listmanger for. It fixed itself after a day or so. When I inquried about it to my ISP they said it was their mistake.
For everyone,
I had a problem of not being able to post to this list even though I had been subscribed to it. I contacted our new list Mom and told her what I though had happened and she fixed it right away. Way to go Mom. Too bad I wasn't able to figure out to contact the old list Mom and straighten it out before she left. I think our previous list Mom did a great job and that Jeannie will have some very large shoes to fill. She will do fine though. I know am happy to read as well as post to list again.

Good morning, Sue: I looked in my Mother's notes and found the following
information. She was looking for the father of James C. Cameron and received
a letter from a Mrs. Frank Miller. This was in 1963. Mrs. Miller
wrote.."Our Cameron ancestor first in this country was Parson John Cameron,
who came from Scotland in 1770 with three brothers - Donald, Ewan, and
William. Our records show that Ewan (Ewen) Cameron went to Tennessee. Our
Ancestor Parson John stayed in Virginia."
In another letter from a Billy Cameron it was stated that Ewing, (Ewen) was
born at Galkan Ferintosh, Scotland, Feb. 23, 1768 and came to America in 1788
with four brothers. Galkan Ferintosh was in Perthshire. He was believed to
have been married in Scotland and his wife's name was Mary. Ewen went from
Virginia to Tennessee and built the first house in Franklin, TN. He and
another man started the newspaper, "The Western Weekly Review." The 1820
census shows 7 children; William, R.P., Duncan, John, Elizabeth, Donald and
an unknown.
A third letter from the TN State Archives says the brothers came over in 1785
but since it also states that this Ewen Cameron built the first house in
Franklin, TN I assume it's the same people. My Mother says, in her notes,
that William came to Tennessee also and that Donald went back to Scotland.
She doesn't give the source of this information and since she is deceased I
can't verify it.
Have you looked in the early censuses of Tennessee Counties? I don't know
what help this information will be but I wish you good luck. Mary Conley
Dear Margaret
I don't have any information that you are seeking but I myself am looking for
a Margaret Anderson Cameron who lived and worked in Edinburgh 1947-48. I
have been told that she is now remarried and residing in NSW. Any relation?
I know it is a long shot as there are many, many Margaret Camerons. Enjoyed
your little bit of information though.
Happy New Year

Have we all finished with Roll Call?
As you know, I'm looking for a birth record of my gggrandfather Dougald Cameron (1830-1892), somewhere in the province of Quebec. If people are interested, I will pass on to the Clan what I find of Camerons in 19th-century Quebec, especially early in the century when I might find my people. Tell me to stop if you get too bored. Many, many Quebeckers migrated in the 1840's and '50's to the United States where it was easier to find work, so maybe we'll find some cracks in those brick walls. I was surprised how many Camerons there were in general, both Protestants and Catholics. Here we go:
