Hi everyone,
The mystery of the returned mail thickens. I just received the following
"returned Mail" advice and I didn't even send the e-mail.

John Charles Cameron, born 1760, died 1829, was a Major in the 7th Fusiliers
and the 8th Royal Veteran Battalion. In his military records his residence
for at least 5 years is noted as Perth. He married Harriet Maria Pearson who
was born a captains daughter in Ireland around 1826.
Do you have any information on what happened to the John C. Cameron you
mentioned in your e mail? I have a Catherine Cameron, b. 1809, in
Perthshire; I also have a John b. 1798 in Scotland. He was supposed to have
been Catherine's brother. They both ended in Illinois. Catherine and her
husband, Amos Dunn, moved next door to John. Can you see a connection?
Thanks. Jeanne Spring
My last known ancestor is Catherine Cameron Dunn, b. Scotland, 1809. She is
probably the sister of John who came to Mercer Co., Il, in around 185l from
Juniata Co. Pa. He was also born in Scotland. I am looking for their
ancestors.
Hello all,
I have been getting a lot of mail about undeliverable messages/postings not
getting through.
Rootsweb.com has just done a system change and since then the email problem
has cropped up. Unfortunately, each one requires an individual solution, not
a blanket solution that will solve everyone's problem.
***If you have had mail/postings returned to you as 'undeliverable', please
e-mail me privately at NFDMED5(a)aol.com. ****
Please be patient with me, as I am trying to fix this problem. Most messages
are getting through w/o any trouble.
Thanks for your time,
Alana

She is reportedly the dau. of Simon CAMERON, although I have never seen any
documentation to support this. I've also been told that she had a brother
named Barnett CAMERON or CAMPBELL.
Would appreciate any info on these people.

Good idea Dean!
We have hit not one, but several brick walls with our Cameron line. My great
grandfather Henry Cameron was born in Randolph County, Ark in 1850 to George
W. Cameron and Sarah or Susan, he is 5 months old in the 1850 census of that
county. He has an older brother Eli Cameron who enlisted in the Civil War in
Lawerence County, have not been able to find out what happend to Eli Cameron,
have not found him listed in any cemetery in Arkansas. The last account we
have of George W. Cameron is in the 1870 Census for Lawerence County, Ark.
have not found a death or burial record for him. The last account we find of
Susan is in Madison County, Ark, in 1900, but have not found a death or
burial record for her. My great grandfather Henry married Eliza Jane Massey
in Lawerence County, Ark, in 1870, she was the daughter of William Massey
and Nancy? I know what happend to Henry and Eliza and their family, but
would sure love to find someone with knowledge of the other mentioned
Camerons. Thanks. Eddie Mills Dugger
