Looking for information on Robert Ross Cameron (born abt. 1861/63), he
married Ella Price daughter of Samuel Price, they both are listed as being
born in Chester County South Carolina.

Looking for these ancestors. I'm told Cameron/Cambron are the same.

I would appreciate any information on the family of John and Sarah
Cameron/Cammeron whose children Joseph, Daniel and Catherine were baptised
in the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lebanon County in the years
between 1810 and 1816. This church seems to have been composed mostly of
German immigrants.
Joseph and Daniel Cameron moved west to Knox Co.,Ohio and then along the
National Road to Fayette County, Illinois. Joseph married Sallie Hinds in
Pennsylvania (county unknown), and Daniel married Mary Ann Grubaugh in Knox
Co.,Ohio.
Fayette County, Illinois census records of Joseph Cameron indicate that his
parents were foreign born. In one, the country is given as England, in the
other, Germany.
I have information to share on the families of Joseph Cameron, b. 1810, and
Daniel Cameron, b. 1812, and related families of Grubaugh, Logsdon, and Logue.
Any suggestions for places to search would be welcome.

I'm trying to find siblings of my great grandfather, Robert Cameron, a
dairy farmer in Jefferson, Montgomery County, PA. His father, John Cameron,
came from Northern Ireland in 1850 with his wife, Anne ?, and children. His
wife died in 1860 and he subsequently married Jane Wallace and had 4 more
children. They are Robert, born 1863 (my great grandfather) who married
Ellen "Nelle" Knox; Thomas, born 1866; Jane, born 1868; and David. I have
no other information on Roberts two brothers and one sister.
Would be happy to be placed into contact with descendants or persons with
knowledge about:
Francis Hawkes Cameron 1838-1900, of Hillsboro, North Carolina.
Willima Lochiel Cameron of Tennessee
Thanks very much.

Hi, Joan:
You are the fourth person to e-mail me since I joined yesterday
evening. That's not bad considering that there are only 25 people
signed-up (during a period of only 1 1/2 weeks). Bruce & Diane, via
their welcome letter, gave me those previous statistics.
I don't know, at this time, of any New York connection to my line
of Camerons, but there are some missing members who must have gone
SOMEWHERE!!
My wife gave me a Broderbund "Family Tree Maker" for Christmas and
I would like to take this opportunity to HIGHLY recommend it!! I have,
in excess of, 700 people entered. It sure takes the pain out of all
the "connections" of different family lines. (That was NOT a paid adver-
tisement!!)
Thank you for the rapid "come back" and we'll be talking!

Hi Dan:
I have just heard from Bruce & Diane (the folks who run this news
letter)
saying that in 1 1/2 weeks they have 25 subscribers. Not bad!! There
seems to be a lot of interest in Cameron's.
My Cameron in KY was my G.G.Grandfather, George W. Cameron, born abt.
1815
in TN (this from a later census). In June 1839 he married Sarah Jones
in
Livingston Co., KY. Sarah was the Daughter of Lewis Jones, SR and her
Sister, Mary, obtained a Marriage License at the same time and married a
Lewis Jones (perhaps a Cousin?)- probably a double ceremony.
They are all still there for the 1840 census, living next door to the
old
man. Eli Cameron was born to them in 1843-44 and I have no more record
of
them until 1850 census in Randolph Co., AR where everyone EXCEPT Sarah
are
living with a new lady, Susan, in the household. I have never been able
to determine what happened to Sarah!!
Sorry, I got carried away!! Sincerely
Bill Cameron
Hi Bill,
I have Christian KEMMERER back to his birth in 1734.
Came to the US in 1751.
I am trying to prove his parentage.
I think they were
George Adam KEMMERER & Eva Margaretha SCHMIDT.
If I prove that, then I have the line back to mid 1600's.
I'm not sure why Samuel KEMMERER changed his name to CAMERON.
I have found the family as:
KEMMERER/KAMMERER/CAMMERER
so I guess CAMERON isn't as much of a stretch from the latter.
But, they were definately German.
My direct line lived in PA > IL (1869) > KS (1870).
Not sure about the siblings.
Kathy
I just "signed-on" and am still not sure how large a readership this
group represents. I am B.G.(Bill)Cameron from Daingerfield, TX. My
Genealogy Research includes 1. Camerons @ TN 1800 - 1835; KY 1835-1849;
AR 1845- 1900; 1898-1915 OK. 2. Kirks KY, AR 3. Little KY 4. Dunn, IL,
5. Snider, IL,6. Rodd, IL, 7. Massey TN, AR.
I would be most interested in learning how many people are connected
with this "mail list". Until I hear something from someone, I remain -
Bill Cameron
Does anyone on this list have any information on the Cameron's that lived
in Iowa and "Upper Canada", which I now believe is Ontario, Canada.
Also please feel free to submit you inquiries. We can't help each other
without questions.
Thank You,

Having difficulty finding any sibling or parents for Henry WOLFE.
He was born 3/8/1825 in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA.
He was married to Anna Mary CAMERON, daughter of
Samuel CAMERON (previously KEMMERER) & Amelia WEBNER
of Dauphin County, PA.
I'm beginning to think that maybe his name was actually
William Henry or vice-versa since that name is very common in other
lines of my family. Either that, or maybe Henry was the immigrant.
Henry & Anna Mary WOLFE moved to
Freeport, Stephenson County, Illinois in 1869 then on to
Jewell County, Kansas in 1870.
Their children were;
Amelia Barbara WOLFE married James Buchanan CLARK
William Henry WOLFE married Laura Alice ADAMS
Samuel Sylvester WOLFE married Ellen Macina FLIEHR
These three were born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA.
The next three were born in Jewell County, Kansas:
Torrence Monotte WOLFE married Mary Almire ROSSMAN
Lemuel Edgar WOLFE married Cordye May MATTER
Frederich Ervin WOLFE married Lulu Gertrude MATTER
Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially on Henry.
Thanks,
