Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Good idea, Eddie. I have been receiving postings fine. I'm looking for
brothers Daniel and John Cameron b. between 1740-1745, living in Cumberland
Co., NC in 1810. There was a third brother, Allen. They may have come from
Augusta Co, VA. Either John or Daniel had a son, Daniel, b. 1780 who was my
ggg grandfather. Any help would be wonderful. Mary Conley
Got your message just fine. My gg grand mother was Mary Cameron, she was
born in a pirate camp on the coast of France after her parents were captured
by pirates on their trip to America. After rescue (or release) they arrived
here. I believe she later married a Guthrie. I will soon and dates and more
info on this.

Greetings
I would appreciate any help locating the parents of WILLIAM GORDON CAMERON
born 1879/80 Oldham, Halifax Co. N.S. also documentation of his birth and
date.
I understand the family originally landed at Chance Harbour, Pictou Co.
c1808
from Perthshire Scotland.
Any suggestions as to where I might find this info.
Thank you for any help.
Betty,
Brampton, Ontario.
Hello,
Seeking information on our gggggg grandfather, Bryant Cameron b. abt
1778 in
N.C and his wife Sarah McCutchen. Some of my "cousins" have been
searching
for Bryant for years with no luck. So what I'm looking for is any
information on ANY ? Cameron married to ANY ? Bryant or ? Bryan surname
married in either North or South Carolina. Bryant Cameron d. in
Williamsburg
Co., SC.
One clue is that our Bryant Cameron might be related to Rev. John
Cameron
of Lunenberg, VA d.1815.
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

As a descendant of Robert Cameron, Beaver Co, PA, Stark Co, OH and Holmes Co. OH reporting

Just based on where he died, and knowing that my FEAGINs did the same thing,
you might look for him in Moore County, NC, home of the charming little town
of CAMERON. Most of the FEAGINS moved from Moore County (its county seat,
Carthage, was originally FEAGINSVILLE, and is about 8 miles from CAMERON), to
the old Cheraws which is Marlborough and Williamsburg County, SC. Good luck.

Hi Bruce!
I received the latest posts via Digest mode #100. Still searching for
information
about John David Cameron, b. Jan 10, 1808 Rutherford Co Tn--died Feb 11, 1877
in Saline Co Ark.----married Elizabeth Hale b. Oct 17, 1811 Davidson Co Tn and
died 1862 in Saline Co Ar.----John David and Elizabeth had 15 children and
after
she died, John David married Louisa Wood in Saline Co Ar, and had three more
children. I would especially like to know Elizabeth Hale's parents and
siblings.
This is a BIG family---surely there are many descendants out there.

I am getting the messages just fine, just not many queries or lines being
posted right now. I am wondering if it would help to list our Cameron and
give the states we are searching in for them. Also does anyone have a problem
with our listing Cameron info that we might find that doesn't belong to our
line, but perhaps might help someone else with their line, eg marriges,
census, deaths, etc? Just a thought, I feel like we are kinda at a stalemate
here and perhaps it might breathe some new life into us.
Got it!
Would you temporarily unsubscribe me from the list.
I am really busy right now until January.
Don't have time to follow thru on emails let alone read them.
Thanks,
Kathy
Would sure like any info on John A. CAMERON, Lee County, GA 1870 census in the
Renwick PO, which is now Smithville. He appears to have been of an age to
have been the father of Henry C. CAMERON, and John CAMERON. John A. shows
having been b. in NC in appx. 1817. His apparent sons were b. in AL. Any
clues appreciated. Thanks Zou Feagin (Henry C.'s g-grandaughter).
Message received, thanks. Looking for any information on Bryant/Briant
Cameron who came to Williamsburg County, SC, @1810, from NC? I have
descendants and family but nothing on parents or family before birth in NC @
1778 (according to census). Thanks! Alene Cameron Petrie

Yes. I received Test test test. Cameron and McLauchlin are big names on my
mother's side. I believe all from Scotland, not a changed spelling. Some
were ejected from New York for being Tories (Amer. Rev. period). I have a
good bit of info before hitting a dead end and will try and post soon.

Yes, Bruce. I received your letter fine.
I am looking for ancestors, descendants or relatives of Murdock Cameron who
married Flora McDonald. They were born in the early 1800's in N.C. or
Scotland and lived in GA.
Thanks, Georgia Harbert
