Jay,
Forgot to reply to your message.....I cannot find any info in my database
or binder re your Barbara Camerer. I do have a Barbary Ford who married
Henry Camerer (a brother to Daniel in Edgar Co. IL)
but that is too early for your Barbary. Henry and Barbary both died in
Clermont Co. OH. Some of their children, including my ancestors, migrated
to Pike Co. IL and spread out in surrounding Counties. Pike is the
opposite side of the State compared to Edgar. Will keep you in mind, if I
do run across her.

Jeff and Mary Ann,
I have been following your Edgar County discussion with interest as
I am looking for a connection there for -
Barbara E (Ellen) Camerer who married Calvin McCleary there in
1848. Here
is the internet index to the record -
[MCCLEARY, CALVIN] [CAMERER, BARBARA E] (5/21/1848 LA204) EDGAR
05/18/1848 SA/ 93 SA 1480
(Volume SA/93 Licence SA 1480)
I've found them in Vermillion County in the 1850 census with one
child age 2. Ellen's age (as she was usually called) was given as 21, so she
was born about 1829. Unfortunately, her birth place was given as TENN, the
same
as Calvin, but in the 1860 census they were in Bruellette Creek Township
Edgar County
and then her birthplace was given as Illinois. This makes more sense.
Please keep my search in mind as Barbara Ellen's age and location could
easily place her as a sister or cousin of the John you are discussing. I have
posted much of what I could find on the internet for the Camerers in Edgar
County on the CAMERER-List previously so I won't repeat it.
From what has been said, it would appear that a research trip to
Edgar County
might be very productive. Unfortunately that is not in my plans at the
present time.
