Jeff,
All that I have on John, s/o Daniel, is probably what you seen on an
earlier posting. Now, thanks to you I have more on John for my
database. Now that you give me a location, I see that Thomas is buried at
Atlanta Cemetery, Logan Co IL along with his wife Margaret A. Thomas b
7 Jan 1833; d 2 Apr 1916...Margaret A. b 13 Mar 1843, d 6 June 1895.
You no doubt already have this info, but for the benefit on other Camerer
researchers, will post it. There are several other Camerer's buried in this
cemetery, some children of Thomas & Margaret.

>From the Biographical Record of Logan Co., IL. (1901) pages 359-360 I have
copied the second paragraph of this biography in it's entirety {Notes in
parenthisis are my own}.
"Mr. Camerer {Thomas M.} is one of Illinois' native sons, his birth having
occurred in Edgar Co., (IL), January 7, 1833. He is one of a family of
eight children, whose parents were John and Harriet (DILL) Camerer. The
father was born in the Keystone state, in October 1805, and belonged to an
old Pennsylvania family. When a young man, he went to Ohio, where he
learned the plasterer's trade, and it was there that he met and married Miss
Harriet DILL. In the fall of 1832 he emigrated to Illinois and became one
of the pioneer settlers of Edgar County, where he followed his trade
together with farming until his death, which occurred about 1847. The
mother of our subject died in Edgar county, Illinois, in 1849. Her father
was Benjamin Dill, who was a farmer by occupation and spent the greater part
of his life in Ohio, but the last fifteen years he lived in this state."
I have also researched
Ancestry.com where I located at least two records
identifying John, born 21 Nov. 1805, the son of Daniel & Cathrine (KLEIN)
KEMERER/CAMERER of Westmoreland Co., PA, married Harriet DILL 31 Jul, 1828.
This John died in 1893. I have tried without success to contact the authors
of those messages.
Now from these postings, I see that Mary Ann Kaylor lists John CAMERER, b.
21 November, 1805 in Westmoreland Co., PA, d. 1893 in IL.
While I suspect very strongly that this is my line, I am hoping that one of
the subscribers may have additional details which may assist me in proving
my suspicion. Unfortunately, I have been unable to trace Harriet DILL or
her father Benjamin, hence I have come to the pervebial "brick wall" on this
line of my pedigree
I thank each of you in advance for you consideration and assistance in this
matter.
Kind Regards,
Jeff Turner
