I received information re an ancestor who went to Cambridge, becoming a
priest and missionary, but I am a bit confused with the language.
can anyone advise what this means in a description from Cambridge, that
someone was:
Adm. pens. (age 18) at Jesus?
and if he matriculated in Michaelmas of the same year he was admitted,
1842, was that with a degree?
he went on to a BA in 1846, then MA 1851, so what was the matric in 1842?
advice appreciated, thanks
