:
Nils Andrew Camberg b. March 9 1859 Kalmer, Sweden d. Dec.6 1930 Mist,
Oregon. Sisters: Clara and Miranda (Manda). Wife: Annie Nelson of Dalarna,
Sweden.
1900 Vesper Pricinct Oregon census lists him as: Nels A. Calmberg, wife
Annie and 3 children: Albert, Herbert and Lilie.
1910 Vesper Pricinct Oregon census lists him as: Andrew Camberg, wife Annie
and 8 children: Albert, Herbert, Lily, Clara, Roscoe, Arthur, Ada, Orene.
1920 Mist Pricinct Oregon census lists him as: Andrew Calmberg, wife Anna
and 11 children: Albert, Herbert, Lilly, Clara, Roscoe, Arthur, Ada, Orene,
Alice, Violet and Elmer.
We don't know Nils father's name, but the last name may have been Anderson.
Nils name was changed to Ca(l)mberg when he came to America and according to
his death certificate, his mother's name was Christine Johnson born in
Sweden.
My notes say Nils moved to the mid west ca. 1881 (Chicago, Ill. area??)
before coming to the Silverton, Oregon area. ca. 1896 he was living in the
Nahalem Valley, OR where many of his children were born.
I posted this in the New GenForum:
http://genforum.genealogy.com/camberg/
This is all I know, but do have dates of his childrens birth etc.
Thank you :-)
Debbie

have come over from Sweden?
Any info will help.
At the local historical society they are in the midst of getting all of
the
Vermont census on CD. This will same anyone having to make a special
trip
to
the Orleans county office in Newport, and slouching over the
microfilm!!
I'm planning on going next week to Stanstead. Was just there today.
Cheers!
