Do you remember any dates from the papers?
What are the dates on the land record you copied?
If we had some dates we might be able to figure
out which Wm the papers are concerning.

Wm which said he died before Feb 15 1799. If

I was there once and found stuff there but as it concerned another
branch,
I
wasn't interested in much it had. I did obtain a copy of land
dealings
which I found of interest. My branch was from the Galveston and area
south
of Houston. It would be worth someone's while to either hire a
local
genealogist to do the specific search or go there. I found the Austin
area,
especially in April, to be gorgeous during bluebonnet season and the
tour
of
the University area and capitol building (pink stone) fascinating.
It is
a
really pleasant stay. Go looking while you do the intellectual
things
too.
