Does this ring a bell with anyone?
I have a photograph of Mr. and Mrs. George Fenwick BODFISH that I found at
my great-grandmother's house some time ago.
The back reads, "For our dear cousins Jeff and Ida Wells and children, with
best love from George and Brenda
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Fenwick Bodfish, Monterey Cal'a.
New Orleans Tuesday Dec. 23-84."
This "84" would be 1884.
I have Fenwicks, and I do seem to recall seeing the name BODFISH somewhere
in my research, but I can't find these two.
I know the Jeff and Ida to whom the back was inscribed well - They are
Jefferson WELLS 1834, Rapides Parish, Louisiana - 1929, Rapides Parish,
Louisiana, son of Montfort WELLS and Jeannette Amelia DENT) and Ida Fenwick
BRENT (1840 Rapides Parish, Louisiana - 1900, Rapides Parish, Louisiana,
daughter of James Fenwick BRENT and Laura Harriet OVERTON).
Any ideas about George and Brenda?
(I know the name CALVIT appears nowhere in this email, sorry, I just know
several of us Calvit researchers have Wells lines.)
