Carol,
I,m sorry to hear about Mrs. Wagner, I wished I could have met her. The
address that I found the Texas Land Grants on I can't find, but here is
another one. US Gen Web was the key to it, you may find a better one. the
one that I found it on again is
www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ussearch.htm Just
type in what ever or whoever and it'll find it. Good hunting.
Benny

Benny & Philip:
I thought you might like to know that the woman who owned the farm
that Calviton Cemetery is on--Mrs. Elizabeth Knapp Wagner, of Woodlawn
Pltn--died on New Year's Day. According to her obituary (which I'll send
you) she had no direct descendants--just nieces and nephews. I'll watch
for any estate settlement announcements.
Benny: in an e-mail on Jan. 2, you referred to "land grants of
Texas" as if that was a source. What is that? I want to research where
in Texas a non-Calvit ancestor may have settled (during the Civil War).
I may have some further information about "Calvit's Corner" in
Natchez soon.
