A Natchez newspaper ran the obit of Mary Dean Calvit Higdon in 1807. Does
anyone know which issue the obit was located in?
Thanks
Michael
Dear Michael,
Hello. I can't remember for certain whether or not you and I communicated
directly about my maternal 4th great grandmother, Elizabeth CALVIT, who
married John FORD, whom is believed to have been a daughter of Mary DEAN
CALVIT HIGDON and 1st husband, Anthony/Antoine CALVIT, but I am still looking
for some type of proof. Is it possible that you might have more information
regarding that and also I am interested in finding out anything more that I
can about the parents of Mrs. Mary DEAN CALVIT HIGDON?
My descent is through Elizabeth CALVIT and John FORD's son, Henry FORD, who
married Mary BUCKLES, born: abt. 1795 in Natchez, MS, (daughter of Mahala
MIDDLETON, (daughter of Willis MIDDLETON in Natchez, MS area,) and Abram
BUCKLES/aka Abraham BUCKHOLTS, Jr., aka BUCKHOTZ/BUCKHOLDTS, (son of Abraham
BUCKHOLTS, Sr., (son of Jacobus "Jacob" BUCKHOLTS,) and Abraham/Abram, Jr.'s
2nd wife was Mrs. Nancy KILLIAN GALTNEY, (widow of Abram GALTNEY.)
I would also be interested in seeing the obit also if you happen to find it.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bellinda Myrick - Barnett
