Laura- Pierre Calvet was born in Lacaune circa 1630. He was a cow bellmaker. When I was in Lacaune the hotel owner got me a replica.
Latayne Stanfill has written the most beautifil poem about Pierre and I am using this means to ask her to e-mail it to the group.

Hello Calvit Cousins!
I made a few mistakes yesterday and want to correct them:
I gave the death date of the daughter, Elizabeth, of Charles Brantley &
Elizabeth Calvit as being Sep 1,1863. I think that that date is the death
date of the wife of Charles Brantley, Elizabeth Sanders Calvit.
Also, thanks to Benny Calvit, we have information on another son of Charles
B. & Elizabeth Sanders Calvit: Charles A. Calvit, b. Oct 21, 1855; d. Aug
6, 1863. Charles A. and his mother, Elizabeth, must have died of the same
epidemic.
Thanks to Liz, I see another mistake: Thomas Leonard Calvit, son of
Charles Brantley and Sarah Carter Calvit, did not die before his children
were born! He died when Doris was 2 years old, in 1908, not 1902.
And I found this mistake: If William (son of Anthony) Calvit was b. c.
1740, his son John Calvit was not born in 1752 (when John was 12!) John
was probably born in c. 1762.
I have more information to add on Thomas Leonard Calvit's and Norma Lanius
Calvit's son, Barney: He was Barney L. Calvit, m.
1st Geraldine Taylor; they had one daughter, Norma Jean Calvit, born in LA.
Barney & Geraldine divorced; I don't have Barney's 2nd wife's name. I
believe that they had no children.
Thanks again, Liz and Benny!

Benny--
Thanks for the Brantley Bible info. I have that same information
SOMEWHERE!!!!!!! That info is about the third set of data that I cannot put
my hands on. Think it may be time to go thru all these piles that are
beginning to rise up around me and put everything back where it belongs!
