Laurie Ann Bieber,
Thank you for the Prather info. I think it is another branch I have even
with some of the Mullikin connections. There are no Bowie names.
In Johnson Co., IN there is a Mullikin cemetery. It is the Dugan Farm,
Nineveh twp.
In MULLIKINS OF MARYLAND, 1932, PA Elizabeth Hopkins Baker, I have names
but rather late. They are connected to: Ragsdale, Cox, Hunter, Miller,
Chrissman, Dryden, & Patterson. Some were TN.
The Ragsdale name is in my families. And a whole batch of Featherngills,
who connect to David F. & Martha(Mullikin) Featherngill. These are much
later and do connect to the Forsyth family, originally from VA/KY.
MARYLAND & VIRGINA COLONIALS by Doliante lists Mullikin, Prather, and
others. There is an interesting connection to the Sprigg family, which
has connections to the Stone family---Elizabeth Stone was the wife of Wm.
Calvert s/o Leonard. There are many names in this that connect to Calvert
names. 1761 Thomas Prather was on the Grand Jury along with Plummer,
Beall and others. Some names are common to my mother's families from VA.
Also Graves is in the mix. Also I found a Bowie/Duckett connection. Kitty
Duckett m. Wm. Bowie. He m. #2 Anne Duckett Mullikin connected to the
Sprigg family. There is a Hall who is in my mother's family, way back
(desc. from Maj. John Welch) and a Hall seems to be connected to the
Bowie family.
I can make no connections in my dad's families, except for the Prather
and Mullikin names to your lists. I appreciate you sending me all the
info. Wish I could make a connection.
Thank you again for the info.
