Brian Jenks: Found your line. It is not the VA Calvert line. J. Richard
Buckey has a book THE CALVERTS WH0 WERE QUAKERS. There was a possible
connection with Lord Baltimore as either a brother or an uncle.
John Calvert b. ca 1587/9 buried Drumgorr, Ire. M. Grace. Thomas Calvert
(1617-1685, d. PA). M Jane Glassford d/o Hugh & Margaret Stranmilli
Glassford. Not certain about issue. John Calvert (1648-1699, PA) m.
Judith Stamper, b. Eng. They were not Quaker by. 1697. Son: Joshua
Calvert (1680--? PA) m. Deborah Harlan d/o George & Elizabeth Harlan.
No real info. on Thomas Calvert, but there are Williamsons listed. The
Harlans seem to be connected to Supreme Court Justice Harlan, down the
line. Associate Justice Noah Swayne also related. Swaynes are also
listed. There was a Daniel McCurdy living in York Co., PA before 1784.
There is no Allred listed. That is the only McCurdy listed by Buckey. And
there are none in O'Gorman. And no John listed s/o Wm. Calvert s/o Geo. &
Sytha Elizabeth Harrison.
Sorry I can't give more info. Much of Buckey's info. is rather sketchy
except as to Harrisons, Buckeys, Hollingsworth and esp. Chenoweth.
Joshua Calvert & Deborah Harlan m. 1690. Evidently, Prs. Wm. McKinley
desc. of Harlan.
Good luck.
