Vicki, re Cheatham connection
May 22. 1997
Thanks for info. on Cheatham reunion. I received info. from Wm. Cheatham,
who said that he has been in touch with you. At any rate, a related
Cheatham m. a Garrett. Now as far as I know, other than Bill Cheatham's
connection with the Calvert family, my Cheatham connection is really not
with the Calvert part. It gets a little complicated and so far I can't
find a direct Calvert connection to my Cheatham/Garretts. Garretts m.
several times into the family of my (Jones) maternal g.g. grandmother
Sarah Jones Cross. This is one of my mother's lines.
Thru some others she does have a tie in with a Calvert/Foxworthy/
Glasscock/Jackson lines. It is one of the most mixed up messes I have
ever seen. I still have to do a lot of research on this whole thing,
because Don Foxworthy (Calvert desc.) has family m. into MANY of my
families, paternal and maternal. And a Calvert m. a 2c1r on my dad's
side. Then there are in-laws in the picture. If I can ever figure out all
the mixed-up connections, I'll let you know.
