This is for the people on the list that don't get or don't want to get
attachments. I'll try to remember from now on to do copy and paste.
Sorry abt. the attachment. I really do hate to get them myself, and
ususally don't open them, unless I know the person sending them. Vicki K
I wrote you some months ago, and you kindly offered to help me look for
a
Calvert great-grandfather whose name I did not know. Since then my hard
drive went away with the repairman, taking all I knew with it--not that
there was much Calvert information there. I hope you can guide me
toward
finding more.
Through email correspondence with a cousin in Alaska, I have learned
that
our great-grandfather's name was Jabez and that he is supposed to have
traveled from Virginia to Carroll County, Missouri, and to have married
Love Chinn, possibly a second wife. Their daughter, my grandmother, was
born May 16, 1864. That is all I know, although I seem to remember her
mentioning a Humphrey Calvert when I was a child and had no interest at
all
in dead relatives.
I'm a school librarian and pretty good at some kinds of research but
have
no training or experience with genealogy. I would appreciate some
pointers.
Thanks!
