Like it or not the internet is a form of publication.
Once published, a matter is more often than not construed to be "truth".
Now that is the truest statement I've seen in awhile!! I have run into this
many times. One was an ancestry given in a book published in 1900. It was
taken as the "truth", however in checking the source (not easy) it was
obvious a BIG mistake was made in the author omitting the word "possibly".
A VERY important word. The man quoted as being a progenitor of an entire
line was an Episcopal priest who left a will making it clear he was no one's
father!!!!
When I first started researching abt 5 years ago I was naive & didn't always
records my sources. Now I'm obsessed w/ them! Now lets all get back to
