I will not be working through the CALVERT-L(a)rootsweb.com for an indefinite
period into the future. I will have this notice posted here a few times to
try to reach all of you.
I will appreciate it if any of you wishing to contact me with any
genealogy matters will use regular "snail mail."

Followup to the above:
Thanks to those who replied with words of concern and kindness. I am not
deserting all the "cousins" -- as I truly enjoy researching for
information and finding, if I can, answers. And I truly enjoy my contact
with all of you! I would greatly miss it if not in contact with Laurie,
Dan, George, Vicki, Debi, Pete & Shirley, Cindy, Christi, Louise Shaw,
and others. PLEASE KEEP IN TOUCH and send me your mail addresses if you
can find time to do it sans internet.
All the concern expressed by some of you surprised me, as I meant to be
clear that I am still doing genealogical work at the usual pace. But
"snail mail" has always been my preference, and I continue to do a large
volume of exchange via that route. I decided to not use the computer
link for now, to give Bill some hope of catching up on all his own repair
work, errands, yard and house tasks, mail, computer problems, hobby
interests and other pulls which have inundated him faster than he can
deal with them for some months now.
The backup was worsened by his nearly month-long hospital stay and some
months of incapacity toward the end of last year. He is willing to handle
my List in and out mail, but it has become burdensome as he must mediate
between all of it and me, who am computer phobic and do not have one of
my own. So I am taking this chance to do him the favor of lessening his
load of perusing or printing out many dozens of pages of material, and
scanning into the computer my replies.
Be assured that Bill is fundamentally recovered and I too have not
suffered some health calamity but continue in the usual "pretty good"
health which we accept in our 70's.
Hoping to hear from you.
