Hi Folks,
Thanks Gary for bringing these things to the list! :) Just as a thought,
there are other lists I am on that do this same thing and it might be nice
if one (or more) of you is interested in bidding on the item to let the list
know so that we aren't bidding against one another and losing money on the
proposition :) In other words if I want this item, I'd tell the list that
I"m going to bid on it (I'm not) and if Gary also wanted it he and I could
work out something whereby one of us bids on it and the other gets copies or
something like that. That way we don't drive the price up just by bidding
against one another. Ebay is a great site and quite often they have older
books and sometimes even things like birth/death/marriage certificates for
sale as well as other "general" stuff like antiques, electronics, computer
items, even cars! I personally love the site and recommend it to anyone
interested in getting a good deal. Ok, enough said! Thanks again Gary!

Subject: [CALVERT-L] Another Ebay item that might be of interest to some
on this list
FYI
Text from auction item on ebay:
This is Volume IX of the Library of American Biography. The book
was published by Little and Brown, Boston, in 1846. Book is 5" X
7", hardbound brown cloth, 404 pp. The life of Leonard Calvert is
discussed in the first 17 chapters. His family was one of the
first to be politically important in Maryland. The next chapters
are of Samuel Ward of Rhode Island and his historical career. The
last chapter is a Memoir to Thomas Posey. This is a very detailed
account - a rare book. Tight binding, v.g. condition, cover a bit
faded, not bad. Buyer pays shipping.

I don't know anything other than what was posted at ebay.
Cheers
