June 25, 1999 Carolyn Hodges,
According to THE HISTORY OF THE
CALVERTS WHO WERE QUAKERS,
Ann Calvert Hollingsworth was the gr.
granddau. of John Calvert (1587/9--?)
who was prob. Geo. Calvert's bro. 1st
Lord Baltimore.
Valentine Hollingsworth with wife Ann
Calvert & children came over to PA 1682
from Co. Armagh, Ire. He was prominent
in Quaker affairs.
Ann Calvert was Margaret Calvert's sister.
They were daus. of THomas Calvert (1617
1685--b. Ire. d. PA) Thomas Calvert was
grandfather of Mary Calvert Chenoweth.
Ann Calvert Hollingsworth was d/o THomas & Jane (Glassford) Calvert.
This Calvert family was not of the titled
Calverts. Hope this is helpful.
