I have Calvert roots in Belmont County dating back to as early as
1840's. I
have been trying to find the parents of Alfred Calvert (ca.1816-1891). I
have his mother as Mary Calvert (married name) born around 1791. He has
a
brother John (ca1810-?), Levi (1827-1907) married Sarah Wilson, Martin
(1837-), Aaron (1831-?) married Elizabeth McCulley, sisters: Sarah
(1834-?),
Mary (1828-?).
Right now I cannot go back any futher. I would appreciate any help or
any
lead.
Thank you for your time.
Bob Calbert

Bob, I also have Calvert roots in Belmont County from 1828 to 1845. My
g.g. grandfather was James Calvert who was born in VA around 1806. His
son, (my g. grandfather) was John, born 1828 and brothers Sylvanus b.
ca. 1833, James W. b. 1835 and Franklin b. 1845, all in Belmont County.
If I could only find more, maybe we are related. Please pass along any
help you get if it sounds like it might be my kin. Thanks.
