Can anyone help William? Vicki K
I happened to see your reference to Calvert in the FTM Tech List and
checked out
your pages on the FTM website. I looked at your sites with the
exception of the
tree since it did not get a chance to finish, I was a little impatient.
I was curious if
you have any reference to a Charles Baltimore Calvert, an artist, who
lived in St.
John's Place, St. Johns, Manchester Parish in Lancaster County,
England. I have
a marriage license that shows that his daughter Clara Ellen Calvert, age
21, was
married to William Bennet, age 24, on February 24, 1848. They were my
gggrandparents. William Bennet was listed as a law student and his
father William
Bennet was a Solicitor. Clara was listed as a spinster. If you have
any
information that would help me in this area of the family, I have not
started with this
side of the family with any gusto yet but if it fits with any of yours
you are welcome
to a copy of the marriage document.
William Bennet and Clara had a daughter Helena who married a Henry Mudge
from Devon, England. They moved to Hordville, NE where Clara is buried,
having
died in 1919. Helena and Henry both moved to Canada because she wanted
to
die on British soil.
Thanks in advance for your time.
