Good olde' Cornelius, my 6x Great-grandfather and his son, also
Cornelius, my 5x GreatGrandfather.. Cornelius I was married to Mary
SANDERS, the daughter of Rev Jonathen Sanders of Lynhaven Parish abt
1695, and d abt 1700. The Rev that is! Mary married Cornelius 29 Jul
1719, her will dtd 18 Aug 1762 & probated 21 Oct 1762. Cornelius was
the Justice of Norfork County from 18 Jul 1727 to abt 17 Jan; 1730
member of Common Council or Norfork 1741. Will dtd 29 May 1749 and d.
before 24 Jun 1747.
Cornelius II married Elizabeth Thoroughgood (correct spelling, also
spelled with a "W" /r/) on 19 June 1749, the dayghter of John
Thoroughgood and Eliz. Mason. Cornelius was born 15 Mar 1725, will
dtd 18 Sep 1894, Probated 30 Jan 1805. He was one of the Orgn. signers
of the "Sons of Liberty" papers. His du Mary Calvert married into the
fame WALKE family (William Walke),but that is another story. Info fr
