Samuel, John, Betsy, and Rhody were the youngest of Obed
Calvert's ten (10) children. They were by his second
wife. John, Betsy, and Rhody were under the age of 21
years at the time of his death in 1804-05. Elizabeth
Calvert's birth date of 22 Dec 1788 fits perfectedly with
what we know about Obed's children.
I can "scan " Obed's will send and you a copy of in the
form of a "tif" or "jpg" image. You would need some
sort of "tiff" viewer to read the file. Please let me know
if you want to try this.
Naming children after uncles on the maternal side of the
family is a little unusal. The name "John Carter Calvert"
suggest that the child was perhaps named for his father.
Just wondering if we have another one these 1st cousin
marriages. The Calverts were very fond of marrying their
cousins, etc.

Prompted by nothing more than reading email at 3 AM--I do like seeing
your name, as my father was a George Calvert, too, only a George Morgan
Calvert , from Kentucky. I enjoy readin this web you're weaving, even
though I contribute nothing to it, relying on my uncle who has nailed it
all down, and keeps it in his drawer (the family tree, that is).But it
reminds me of home as I sit here in London--which is full of Calverts!
