Calvert List re Calvert puzzle Jo Ann
According to O'Gorman Geo. bro. of John III m. Constance Cornwall #2
Hester Stone. Constance's surname wasn't in O'Gorman, but it was found by
various people, inc. Don Foxworthy, desc. of George (Geo., Wm., Leonard,
Geo.). For a long time the wife of George, s/o Wm., wasn't certain.
It could be that #53 Geo. s/o Geo. and bro. of John in O'Gorman b. ca.
1721, called THE YOUNGER was the one who m. Synthia Eliz.Harrison. This
Geo. (Geo., Geo., Wm., Leonard, Geo.) could have m. q Syntia as thers is
no record, according to O'Gorman, of her name. In the index by Nicklin
Geo. Calvert and his wife Constance left a deed of gift to his bro. John.
In the info. about this Geo. b. 1721, there is an entry dated 1804 by
CYNTHIA Calvert naming John Calvert of Prince Wm. Co. admin. of her
father's estate. This was Geo. Calvert the Younger. It could be that she
was named after her mother. I don't know. She was b. ca. 1763 and m.
three times. She is #99 in O'Gorman.
#53 Geo. was b. Stafford Co. (later Prince Geo. Co.) d. 1803. He was the
2nd s/o Geo. & Constance. He was called the younger to distinguish him
from his cousin Geo. (s/o John).
It is true that Reuben is not proven, but in O'Gorman he is #57 s/o
George & Hester Stone, whose first wife was Constant.
This is the best I can do. I have no idea where Synthia Harrison came
from. Hope it proves useful.
