Hi X or Nikki or ?,
Glad to see you taking a shot at sorting out your CALVERT ancestry.
Good news is there is a lot of help on the net by many Calverts active
in helping other descendents trace their family lines. Bad news is
that there are five or six major lines and possibly a few others from
miscellaneous immigrant arrivals. The Carolina's have been particularly
tough so far, but that is not to say that progress cannot be made.
Medical Drs run in my line to some degree and of course there were lots
of Johns and Williams as JOHN was a favorite name for the oldest
son in some lines including mine. Religion was always important so if
you don't mind, tell us about your family religious preferences. That
can be very helpful in separating the early Marylanders from later ones
and even later New York Arrivals. Also some Quakers into PA.,
early. Does oral history have them as English or Irish?
Good luck.

My father is Charles Leonard CALVERT - b 1929 in Abbeville, South
Carolina. He married Vivian PARKER b 1934. They had 5 children - Kym,
Keli,Kris,Charlie & Carl. I have been able to go back on the PARKER side
but not on the CALVERT side. No one seem to know anything.
This is all I have at the moment. Perhaps someone out there has more
information?
Dad's mother was Azilee McKNIGHT b 1905 d 1950. She was married to
Charles CALVERT b 1905 or 1906 in Abbeville or Calhoun Falls, South
Carolina. Charles died in 1930 0r 1931. I think he had a brother John
CALVERT, another brother William CALVERT and some sisters whose names I
do not know. Azilee remarried William Ernest VAUSE b 1898 d1950. My
dad has a brother Dr.William CALVERT in Florida and a stepsister Martha
Elizabeth VAUSE b 1937 in South Carolina.
Thank you
KC
