To all descendants of William Calvert (1757):
I volunteered to track down known living male-line descendants of
William Calvert (1757) md. Elizabeth Nodding so we could get more DNA
samples for the Calvert DNA project. See:
www.calvertgenealogy.net I
have now decided to try and identify /every/ descendant of William and
Elizabeth, and post the results on the Web.
I have created a preliminary database of all descendants of William
(1757), using O'Gorman as the base - adding many additional individuals
(over 300) - as well as correcting errors, etc. I've combed the
Internet, mailing lists, message boards, surname lists, the Ancestral
File, etc. for info. I have tracked most lines of descent that stayed in
Missouri up to about 1880. (using the 1880 US Census). As of 1880,
there are well over 500 lines of descent, and over 130 lines of possible
male descent. (Some of these male lines will close down, but for every
one that closes, several others open up.)
I am now calling on ALL descendants of William (1757) whether male
or female, to send me their lines of ascent back to William. If you have
compiled the descendants of a particular line, then I would be
interested in a Gedcom file with those descendants. The object is to
identify /every/ descendant of William and Elizabeth Nodding Calvert.
Of course, if you know of any *living* direct-line male descendants
of William (1757), I would like to know about them ASAP.
I have about 50 census records (1880) yet to input into my database.
When I am finished, I will post the preliminary "tree" on the Internet,
along with any additional info that I receive by then. It will remain a
work in progress.
