Hi David,
I seen your message that the CALVERT family that you are
researching
resided in Wetzel County, West Virginia.
Anna E. CALVERT is my great-great-grandmother but I know very little
about
her and I don't even know who her parents are nor do I know when she
got
married. I do know that she married George W. KIGER. Anna is the second
wife of George KIGER since I have found another woman whose first name
is Frances who obviously was married to George too.
Is the CALVERT family from Pennsylvania? I know that George KIGER was
probably born there (probably Greene County) and so he did not go to
what
is now West Virginia until after 1840.
George and Anna are both buried at the HIGGINS Cemetery in
Wetzel
County, West Virginia. The only dates I have for George and Anna is
what is
on the tombstone. I also realize the the dates on the tombstone may not
be correct but then it is possible that the dates are correct.
For George, the dates are 1820 - 1885 and for Anna, the dates are 1830
- 1911.
I know that some of their children are also buried there at the HIGGINS
Cemetery too.
Do you know anything about Anna E. CALVERT? What is her
middle
name? Do you know who her parents are? Her descendants?
When and where did she marry George KIGER?
Is Anna early ancestors related to Lord Baltimore, founder of the state
of
Maryland?
I would appreciate hearing from you. If you are unable to answer my
question,
please tell me who to contact that would know more about the Wetzel
County
CALVERT family.
I will look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
