Another researcher doing the same line in WVA.
Well I got done running through the counties and the Calverts I finished Enoch Calvert off
too all his census from 1810-1840 then his son's widow in 1850 Preston...I found out
where the Enoch Calvert born 1836 comes from his father was a son of Enoch Calvert Sr born
1758...his son was William Calvert he married Nancy/Ann_____they are the parents of Enoch
Calvert 23 in Preston Co.,Va. anyway at somepoint I am just going to post that info up to
the Calvert board. I am still interested in Enoch Calvert SR's brother inlaw Francis
Calvert...I think he was next door to my William Fairfax Jr.,in the 1810 Prince William
Co.,Va., census..
Anyway on to Greene Co.,Pa...after David's emails pointing out Greene Co.,Pa 1850
Morgan twp.,I took a look and there is a
Thomas Colber probably Calvert:) he is 82 and born PA. that would him born ca 1768 I
don't know about him he would have been old enough to be a father to Thomas Clair
Calvert born ca 1803 husband of Elizabeth Johnson.
There were early Thomas Calverts listed while this guy was listed in the Morgan twp in
1810 there was a Thomas Calvert and an Ezekiel Calvert who were both in Whitley twp in
1810 Greene Co.,PA...Ezekiel Calvert appears to have married a Rhoda Debolt- her line goes
back to Maryland. In 1810 Thomas and Ezekiel Calvert are enumerated 26-45 they both have 3
sons under 10 and no daughters.. this Thomas Calvert is not Thomas Clair Calvert who was
born ca 1803...however one of the son's in this Thomas Calvert's census who is
under 10 could be Thomas Clair Calvert.
I am guessing that Greene Co.,Pa., is the next place to look.
A note on Rezin/Reason Calvert he was in the same place as my Obediah Cooksey Jr., in
Morgan Co.,Ohio 1840 Obed was in Pennsville he died there.
This is from memory but one of Obed's grand kids Townsend Cooksey was down in Missouri
I can't remember if it was Cass Co.,Mo., off the top of my head...but Townsend and his
brother Obediah Simpson Cooksey both served in the Civil War when Townsend Cooksey showed
up in Missouri I didn't give it much thought he came back to Ohio anyway. I do know
that Rezin Calvert was from Pa...I looked at him because there was a Calvert so close to
Obed Cooksey and Obed's mother was a Calvert just caught my attention..
Regards,
David
