Hi Jim,
I updated Daphne's item on Phebe Mallot perhaps Mellott.
I am now in a quandry myself as it appears my line came
from perhaps Jacob in PA(Greene Co?). I was a bit surprised to be led here so in this
post I will highlight what I do know.
Thomas C. Calvert B1803 mElizabeth Johnson(b1808)
Albert Gallatin Calvert B1830 m Mary Polly Cain
John Ewing Calvert b1856 m Martha Lemasters
Arthur Clay Calvert b 1876 m (3) Amanda Sylvesta rose
Dorthey Lee Calvert (my mother)
I had information that Thomas C.'s (likely Thomas Clair)
was Thomas C. Albert's grandfather. he fought in the w of
1812 at tippacanoe and was at ft. meigs. You queried in another line re: land grants so I
would suspect that something like this was how that came about re your jacob, job and ?
I have a thomas in the w of 1812 entered and resigned as a sgt.(at this time i bleieve
this was a comissioned rank) which would match hardesty's p203 under notes on albert
gallatin.
Much of this is documented in Hardesty's for Albert and Mary A. Polly Cain Calvert.
BUT: Finding this Thomas Calvert's Father is the next issue.
I will form another post based on recent notes and this is how I got into PA and a Thomas
possibly, son of Jacob and
a migration to Ohio. one child (resin Rezin Reason) migrated to Cass Co Mo and there I
found a slew of information from
a cass county volunteer researcher) including the likely
burial site on a farm near coldwater township near Garden City Mo on the area of what is
known as Amarugia.
I am trying to divide this up such that it doesn't get to lenghty.
