You may be right, but I have at least one gedcom that says William
came from
"b. Warwickoe, Flanders, Nederlands [as for 'Caverts' in f3774.ftw]
d. 9 Feb 1547 [240220.ftw]
Numbers refer to
Ancestry.com gedcoms put in Family Treemaker.
Although Flanders people spoke Flemish, a Germanic tongue,
there was interaction with French, as in today's Belgium.
I haven't found 'Warwickhoe', which looks suspiciously English!
I don't know if he was born in England and died in Holland, or vice
versa. Seems too early for a religious [Protestant?] migration
I hope someone is looking into this for us all...
