I'm still a little confused on our Calvert lineage. Is this "Wild Bill"
part of our line or not?
I've seen several items about him on the calvert mailing list.

I have many letters, a Constable Fee Book and other papers that once
belonged
to my G Grandfather, William Mansfield "Wild Bill" Calvert of
Caldwell
County, KY. Wild Bill was a grandson of Spencer and Nancy
Leatherwood Calvert
and a son of John Thompson and Fanny Morse Calvert. Copies of the
transcribed
materials, which span the time period from 1842 - 1911, are
available in
a book form of about 300 pages. Included are two letters from Mary
Foy
who had just begun the genealogy research which was continued by her
cousin,
Ella Foy O'Gorman (Descendants of Virginia Calverts, published in
1947).
There are also letters pertaining to the Mrs. A. Calvert Bourgeois
of St.
Louis, who sought the Calvert heirs (supposed) inheritance in 1910.
There
are over 300 people of Caldwell County mentioned in the letters and
other
papers. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the book,
please email
me.
