Carolyn,
I had thought about that when I found it, the Shepard connection. As you can tell from
what I drew out of the Parker Will, it had surnames
related to those we see out to John b1766 descent. I found it interesting that here was a
John Calvert (irt) whom I had not figured into any family line as yet.
For pure speculation, John Calvirt is an adult. possibly one generation younger that
Parker or it could be a partner/bus. associate. Or a husband of a dead daughter..the entry
was not detailed even in the will but his name is there.
The next time I go to the library I will get a complete transcription.
Without thinking about the John 1766 and John of Mifflin line:
I would guess that this John Calvert is related to the MD Calverts. He might be a
descendant of Richard or William Calvert, sons of William b 1643. It is possible he could
be the Young John Calvert b c1692, for example, son of George the Elder 1668.
It is my opinion that WIlliam Calvert's descent are these Eastern Shore Calverts and
if you check the
gen.com board for my summary of some of the findings in somerset you can
at least see my logic in that.
If we do consider the family stories, then we can say well, there is at least a John
Calvert to be looked into, just the same as there is a William Calvert of Somerset of age,
planter in court records 1726 and tax records 1730+.

David I noticed this bit of information you had a Jun Shepard. (After
the section of leaving property to his wife and children, he
leaves to Son in Law, John Lafbury, God-son John Danell, God-daughter
Jun Shepard and then to John Calvirt.) What are the chances this Shepard
is related to John & Esther Calverts, daughter Anna Calvert who married
William Sheppard?
