Subject: [CALVERT] Anita Calvert Bourgeoisie
Anita Calvert Bourgoise: Who was she? How does she fit in the puzzle? Of
what
descent was she? Was she part of the Calvert Association? This is
important because her name was attached to genealogies that was found at Old
Greene County PA courthouse.
Found this in a old email in 2000 from Ken Gilke.*****
Some time ago a mention was of a lawsuit made by Calvert heirs.
While going through some old papers I ran across an old news clipping,
(Hopkins Co., Ky. Newspaper, that I thought might be of interest.
Sorry, there was no date.
(Headline) Heirs to High Estate in Hopkins
About 400 living in Hopkins and Caldwell Counties (Ky) are in line for
slice of $400,000,000 BaltimoreCalvert Estate.
Mrs Bourgeoise, Lawyer of St. Louis, confers with heirs at Princeton
(Ky)last week.
Sanguine of Success
Mrs A. Calvert Bourgeoise, who is a practicing attorney of St. Louis, was
in the city yesterday by previous appointment to meet the heirs from
Caldwell and Hopkins Counties who are interested in the Baltimore Calvert
estate. A large number were present from the two counties and a
conference
was held in the Mayes storeroom.
Mrs Bourgeoise addressed the gathering stating the plans adopted in the
efforts that are being made to regain possession of the vast estate for
the
heirs, which is valued at about $400,000,000. Mrs Bourgeoise is
very
sanguine of ultimate success and says the best legal talent available is
retained in the case. It is said that there are about 400 heirs in
Caldwell and Hopkins Counties, some of our best known families being
included in the number......end article...

I found my Anita Calvert Bourgeoise BOOK, "The Calvert Family of
Maryland and Virginia"
There is a stamped date in the book "St. Louis, MO. Public Library, Oct 4,
1919". The book was copywriter in 1916. So the book is at least 83 years
old.
Thanks to Debbie Wodickers of High Ridge, MO who was kind enough to go to
the library and make me a copy as the library would not lend it our on
library loan. I had located two books one in St. Louis, MO and the other
Fort Wayne, Allen CO., Ind.
