Hello Cousin,
We are from the same family!
I've often wondered what happened to George Alexander and Barbara.
The only child I ever knew of was Mary Elizabeth b. abt 1880. The 1881
census showed that George A. Calvert 30, wife Barbara 20, and their daughter
Margaret Elizabeth 5 mths., lived at Quarry House with Isaiah Calvert 70 -
our gr.gr. grandfather. Also living in the household was Edmund Kirkbright
16, born Lofthouse - grandson of Isaiah. Your gr. grandfather, George, was a
stonemason.
I have a wonderful picture of Quarry House. I just have to find it.
I thought I had scanned it, but I can't find it in my database.
Where did you ever get a handwritten family history? How nice you
have that. Could you give me more information on George and Barbara and
their family? What information can I give you? Did I take you back to the
early 1600's on our family?
Where do you live? I live in the northeastern US.
Eager to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Gerie
