Henry, first, see my response to Jim in Comment to this post. Honestly, I don't know
yet but think we are getting closer to these Calverts via DNA.
The best I know to this point about Kincaids(sic) is:
Robert b 1728 m Susannah Powell. You won't see the reason for the Powell Connection
right away but William and Jacob Calvert married Powell Sisters abt 1820 in Western VA
(now WV). Early on in the bunch of Calverts in SOmerset Co MD< Eastern shore, there is
a heavy tie to the Powells, namely if you find Levin you will be looking at the right
line. It is my opinion, unverified, that these Calverts Descend, undocumented, from
William Calvert via his son William born 1766. The other possibility is that they are Scot
Calverts whom I have not ever had much of an introduction to as yet. It could be that they
are Calverts from Virigina run out by the Protestants those Viriginians who settled in the
eastern Shore on the north side of the Chesapeake. I just haven't had the time to try
to sort it all out.
Robert's children were John Samuel Elinor, Robert Jr, William who married a McCree. In
the family descent though, you will find a tie to the following surnames Hughes, Bell
Rhinehart (sic) this family ties to my Calverts in Greene PA...Uriah Married Martha
Delpine who was the daughter of ELisha, son of Ezekiel b 1777 who was the 3rd or fourth
son of Isaac Calvert 1735-1749 birth date who married Fanny Bullitt (sic)...Ezekiel
brother to Thomas Sr's-my ancestor and Jim Ray's ancestor Robert Calverts father.
I know this is not extensive Kincaid ties but it does show a relationship apparently to
two diffrent lines of Calverts which may position your ancestor in the same family line.
DNA will tell.

Thanks for your reply. Here is what I know. Joseph Kinkead of Albemarle Co.
Va. married Rebecca Calvert 1748 her father was John Calvert of Orange Co.. Va.
David Kinkead married Mary Williams Hawkins Co. Tn. I don't know where her
family came from. Only that family lore had her as part of Calvert family. A
letter was sent from Bourgoise saying she would be publishing this linage in
the"Invincible".
