Henry,
If you or a relative (preferable more than one in different family lines) is a Calvert, it
certainly would help. I am working on the Calvert surname DNA project and we have
approximately 21 results back, with another 8 or 9 signed up and working on more.
I would be glad to spend some time on what you have as far as the Calvert line. Can you
post a descent report etc, giving couples, dates,
etc as much as you know? location? If you can give me the known facts and the speculative
would be a great deal of help.
For the Calvert DNA just let me know and I can send the invite to the designated party.
The cost for the 25 marker test is 169.00. You can do the 12 marker but in a lot of cases
there is a need for the 25 marker test and it is a little cheaper to go ahead and do it
the first time round. This is the discount group price.

Yes my family was also contacted by Bourgoise. But there was already a
family legend if you will that we were of the Calvert linage. My 4 gr.
Grandfather David Kinkead married Mary Williams in 1785. It was passed down that she
was granddaughter of a calvert so that means her mother was a Calvert that
married a Williams. Also Davids father Joseph Kinkead b. 1730 married 1748 Rebecca
Calvert North. She was a widow her father was John Calvert.
Any help you could give would be appreciated. Also wondered if DNA test
would help find any answers to my questions?
Henry
