Jim,
I would be jumping the gun here to even speculate, but you are correct and apparently you
would have then 3 different lines possibly, but at least one from the Calverts of MD in
Orange, one from the Calverts of
Chester and a third. I think we know that some of Richard Calverts Descendants pass
through this way but now that is deep in my notes and I can't recall off the top of my
head. Would this John possibly be brothers of William Thomas and Richard all born about
1750? I think it is Richard that goes up from VA and is Killed in 1774 just preceding the
Rev war in a military engagement probably this thought is to the Frederick County Calverts
who are not related to the Chester County Quakers of PA.
I will take some time and dig into this. Another thought is that this is a similar path
for son David as William Calvert takes with a soujourn in NC, the William Calvert b 1757
who married Elizabeth Nodding. Moreover, we have a group member at the board who has
William Calvert born 1754 whom I was trying to see connected to William Calvert 1757 (the
first agreed to particpants backed out apparently) and I have another lined up but not two
of WIliam 1757. Obvious the goal is to establish if William 1757 matches the DNA of the
PRince William County Calvert DNA submittors (which would place them in the supposed
George Calvert of 1668 line, son of William who was the son of Leonard borther to the
second Lord, Cecilius.
I hope that getting more DNA will tell us about William and will help place thse other
Calverts in one general line or the other, with the third line being the Scot but since I
have no one known to be of that line I can't place our 4 DNA samples with it or the
Irish--yet.

I find Henry's e-mail quite interesting.
What we seem too have now is three different John Calvert's being claimed for Orange
Co. VA. We have the Conklin report of John Calvert marrying a Margaret Robinson. And we
have the will of John Calvert of Orange marred to Jane McMahan. And neither mentions a
Rebecca Calvert.
I suppose we should expect this from our experiences with Calverts<g>.

Thanks for your reply. Here is what I know. Joseph Kinkead of Albemarle Co.
Va. married Rebecca Calvert 1748 her father was John Calvert of Orange Co. Va.
David Kinkead married Mary Williams Hawkins Co. Tn. I don't know where her
family came from. Only that family lore had her as part of Calvert family A
letter was sent from Bourgoise saying she would be publishing this linage in
the"Invincible".
