I was thinking about the DNA project idea that was tossed around a while
back and wondering if there was any interest in it... What got me thinking
about it is that I would almost bet that when they took old Philip Calvert
out of the grave in MD, they probably did some DNA testing on him (we could
email the archaeology team and find out for sure) and if that is the case,
it might be a way for those of us who are descended from Leonard's supposed
grandson George (son of William) to find out once and for all if we're
really related... (Even though Philip's mother was different than Leonard's,
the DNA projects currently being done go by the male DNA rather than female
so it shouldn't pose much of a problem). Are there others out there who are
interested? If someone wants to look into doing such a project, I can put
you in touch with the project leaders on one of the other lists I run,
Barton-l, to see if we can get one going here...
