This is my family. They were my great grandparents.
James Harrison Calvert (1857-1948) was married to Nancy Jane Miller
(1864-1950) in Wayne County, IL Sept 28, 1879. They had 12 children. He
was ordained to the Baptist ministry in 1883 and attended Ewing College in
Illinois. He brought his family by covered wagon to Missouri in 1898,
settling first in Belleview. During the next 35 years he served as pastor
at a number of churches in Iron and Reynolds Counties, Missouri. They are
both buried at the K of P Cemetery in Arcadia Valley, Iron County, Missouri.
I am very interested in more information about his parents and grandparents.
I have bits and pieces but not a full picture.

My husband is descended from James H. Calvert. His 1st wife was Nancy
Jane
Miller (b. June 1864; d.Nov.8,1950) I have an old letter written by a Rev.
Charles Calvert that speaks of James and seems to refer to a 2nd wife? The
letter spoke of a family falling out? Have you heard of this. I also have
more info. if you are interested. You can reply to calfam86@aol to
exchange
info.
