Jan & Don:
Thanks so much for the info on James S. Calvert. I note the
following dilemma: O'Gorman has his birth year as 1834. The obituary
for 1912 has his birth year as 1835. The Nov 17, 1911 entry states he
is celebrating his 78th birthday, which would make his birth year
1833. His death certificate (available online) has his age as 76 and
his birth year as 1836. (The informant was his son Fred Calvert.) If he
was the informant for the 1911 entry, then it would be the most
accurate, since one would assume that he would know his own age.
However, I note that by Sep 1909, he was apparently completely
paralyzed. I don't suppose you have anything that would clarify the
quandary?
